I was about to order a new UDPP online when I came across a photo of one of the bottles cut in half. This made me realize how much product must be in the bluges of the genie bottle (now they sell it in a squeeze tube which is much more practical). so I cut mine open in 2 different places, and you wouldn’t believe how much came out. A whole 3 weeks worth! (And the bottle I cut open was a baby primer that came with my Naked Palette, imagine what would come out of a full size bottle.) Here are some photos of what it looked like:

Some Tips For Your Lips

It turns out, my niece, Corry is a cosmetic savant. Here are her tips for your lips:

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick: Great alternative to a lip stain, stays on almost as well as a lip stain and has the lip stick finish that most prefer. Stays put and doesn’t feather. They have a wide variety of colors.

MAC Viva Glam Gaga 1 & 2: This is a Limited Edition Lipstick and Gloss Line. Gaga 1 is a gorgeous light bubble gum pink that is extremely pigmented, so the full impact of the color shows. Gaga 2 is a beautiful nude that will work on all skin tones without washing you out because it has a cocoa undertone that makes it browner than most nudes (like MAC’s most famous nude, Myth). A few weeks back, I met the founder of a new golf magazine for women, Shi Shi Putter. Her name is Elizabeth Noblitt, and her concept is to put all the attire, accessories, and cool places in a magazine for women who like to golf….and look cute, too. Meeting her kind of makes me want to take up golf!

I heard once that Americans don’t like words they can’t pronounce. Whether it be personal names or business names, keep away from anything that isn’t easy to say or spell. Uh oh. My name is Stacya, pronounced Sta-sha. And this company I like Odacite…..I am not sure how to pronounce it, yet anyway. The company president has this terrific French accent, and I am ashamed to ask him how to say it at this point! I will ask one of my French friends. Odacite is a fresh skin care company that makes creams and cleansers in small batches, and with no preservatives. It is a perfect reason to download the new Beauty Alert! app which can remind you when you should toss out your expired product and get a fresh replacement. It takes me about 2 months to go through a 1.7 ounce jar of cream, so this company should be perfect for me!

The Beauty Alert! Facebook fan page just got this tip, Mark Di Vincenzo has a new book called Buy Ketchup in May and Fly at Noon. On page 50, he lists when to toss out cosmetics. It is just a half pages of suggestions, but loaded with good information and guidelines. The book also includes lots of other things I have always wanted listed somewhere, like when to buy fruit and other produce when it is at it’s best. Vivian Lee is a mineral based cosmetic line, created by a Seattle salon owner and beautician. The Sheer lip glosses have some amazing colors, with great names like seduce, princess and starlet. The Vivian Lee line has brow pencils that go on like a powder, gel eyeliners in the perfect amount (since we have to toss those out sooner than we think), mascara, cream blush, brow fix, vitamin C lip treatments and the whole line of mineral make-up for great coverage.
